String metadata stored in an audio file (libsndfile sf_get_string / sf_set_string). Availability is format-dependent — FLAC/Ogg/Opus carry Vorbis comments, WAV/AIFF a limited LIST/INFO set; unsupported fields are simply null on read and ignored on write.
